PUBG: Battlegrounds is the new name for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds - ulrichseding

It's refer light that battle royale shooter PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has restfully transformed its constitute to the slenderly-easier-to-case PUBG: Battlegrounds.

The change was first spotted by PC Gamer, noting that the change apparently happened in July when the game's novel discover appeared on Steam. Subsequent press releases have since referred to the game with the new title, and upon reaching out publisher Krafton gave a PR argument to PC Gamer.

It said "Krafton is actively expanding the PUBG brand through a miscellanea of red-hot experiences kick in its universe. Rebranding PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds to PUBG: Battlegrounds is the low whole tone in U.S. realizing this vision. Additional titles in the franchise will carry the PUBG name, as you see with our future game, PUBG: New State." Said PUBG: Refreshing State is a new mobile battle royale rubric kick in the year 2051.

In the meantime, the freshly redubbed PUBG: Battlegrounds testament team up with internationalistic K-pop band Blackpink. The collaboration includes a bunch of crossover content including decals, airplane tailcoat, cosmetics and even pink smoke coming from Issue Drops. A special drops event will also see a potpourri of missions that players can complete to pull together a Blackpink helmet.

Finally, the game will also go free-to-play for nonpareil week, from August 10 until Aug 16. The Blackpink upshot in the meantime runs between August 8 and September 7 connected PC and August 12 until September 15 on console. You can check out a prevue for that below.
